Gooday everyone, i own a cbr1000f, hurricane, and fir over a month now i have been expiriencing electrical issues, the batery is weakly charged during day time, but at night, if i turn the head lights on and ride from my workplace to my house the battery will drain down and the bike will not start. I have changed both R/R and startor/rectifier, still the problem wont go, though the startor/rectifier was removed from another hurricane, i don't know what next to do, please help.

 

The first thing you need to do is disconnect the battery from the bike and charge it during the day.
At night take the charger off.
In the morning take a voltage reading from the battery.
If the battery didn't hold a charge, you need to replace the battery.

Hi everyone, i have been able to identify the problem with my cbr hurricane charging issue, i noticed two issues,
1. The first fault was from the rectifier socket, the two among the three yellow wires that was coming from the rectifier was having partial contact at the alternator socket, as such it was burning up the rubber thereby losing contact with the R/R.
2. The three yellow wires inside the rectifier are completely cut off from where they were soldered inside the coil itself.
So i had the first of all change the socket of the rectifier, and finally i was able to get another rectifier and mount it, the bike is working perfectly now. I will try and solder the three yellow life wires in the coil and keep it incase of future occurrence. Thanks for you help. It was helpful.

Maybe crimping would work better than soldering due to heat restrictions. Those wires can get hot when charging a low battery.
