Default Cbr1000f 87. Movement in front sprocket shaft

Cbr1000f 1988 have a big rotation Movement in front sprocket shaft. I can rotate the shaft freely about 1/2 inch before it grabs with a loud clunk. I removed front sprocket and with bike in Gear on low rpm it clunks really bad and also clunks when driving on low rpms. Should there be any free movement on the shaft? If not, what can be the problem in the gearbox?

Hi @Patriksweden and welcome to the forum. Something wrong in the gearbox for sure I'd say. I'm assuming you're describing this is happening in 1st gear at low RPM? How about 2nd gear in low RPM, does it do it then too? My gut says it's going to be broken teeth on one or more gears. Either way you're talking about metal in your engine where it's not supposed to be I'm afraid.
