I stopped by a local bike hang out a while ago where certain bike club members hang out and a certain bike club member came over to me and asked me about my bike. He ran over to other members and brought them outside and pointed out my bike and told the other members of the year and make. The certain club members then turned their noses up and said something but just stood and stared. They knew what they wanted but they would be scorned buy their family for wanting.

 

TimBucTwo, I've had a similar experience.
I don't know if I've mentioned it, but one of the guys I work with is in one of those clubs and he talks chit all day long about my Honda.
Then one day when I was getting off work, I caught him out in the parking lot SITTING on it!! I don't think he knew I was there. Like a deer in the headlights, he was... LOL...

 

Anyone sits on your bike in this country without asking
is liable to get his head beaten in.
Local rules - like humpin' someone else's girl, or using their toothbrush...........
or (Lord help us.)..........dissing someone's club colours
It just isn't done................or if it is, generally only ONCE

 

LOL caught in the act!!!
I went to a local bike meet a few weeks back, there was all sorts there, his and hers pocket rockets, race reps, more R1 and R6's than you could throw acne cream at, even a turbo'ed Busa that must cost a fortune, and mine . I ended up a small crowd PMSL, all the "older" riders started reminiscing and saying just how good the old "jelly mold" was (is) and a few of the kids couldn't believe her age

 

Had my Union Business Agent in here yesterday ( I'm a Teamster ........
Trout & Classic we know where you live !) but anyhoo...........I caught him
scoping my wheels. We talked bike for a few minutes (hiz is a Victory ...yamn)
.........I could see he was really interested in her, so gave him my lid and key
and off round the block he went for 5 mins'

Long and the short of it ........."Keep an eye out , Find me one of those,
what a classic" all his own words.

Says he'd like one in the Silver and Blue too, I told him that was a good
idea as it has been proven that this specific color combo is best, retains
value more and has been proven to have more than 25% IMPROVED
performance over the "Dinky" colored ones !

I ride with this guy a lot, though, and he lets me ride his new POS Harleys.... so I can let it slide, I guess...
I was too busy talking chit about how awesome he knows my bike is.

If it were some random guy off the street, or most other people... it would have gotten ugly.
