...I can't say I haven't had the same thought. I was thinking to myself "I bet I could get right under that..."

I have occasionally seen similar farm equipment on the road when I'm out bicycling and I've had the same thought about passing under it. I've resisted the temptation...thus far.

There seems to be a consistent thought pattern here.

Who is going to the brave b5stard and do this?

Sorta suspect that if you pulled that stunt here in the land of the long white cloud you may well get a visit from your local "Red & Blue Taxi Co" pointing out the error of your ways and issuing a very stern warning not to be a repeat offender.
That would be a pretty fair cop so to speak.

Only if the tractor driver recovered his senses quick enough to clock your rego number, pull over (cause we're not allowed to use cellphones on the move) and then *555 you.

I suspect most tractor drivers are probably more concerned with getting to, and completing the next assigned job and then getting home to the wife and kids, than being quasi police officers.

And certainly from what I know of most people that I know in that industry, the most likely response would be (at the Luggate Hotel):

'Jesus Christ, was that you? Feckin Ace Mate. Dam near crapped myself"
