BOHN Armor pants

Sprock my brother, I have not worn those things personally, but I have a friend who bought them. They sit in his closet never used. They are more of a gimmic type thing. If you want to wear jeans, there are jeans with foam type armor and kevlar in the knees and bum area. Draggin' Jeans is one make. I have two pair of them. Hardly ever wear them (but I do wear them when it is real hot - 100 + in the desert is hot).
I like a good pair of leather pants with a textile jacket that has padding in it (knees, hips for the pants and elbows, shoulders, back for the jacket). When you get to where you are going, you can take the jacket off without the gimmic stuff staying on.
If you are not comfortable, you will eventually not wear it. If it is too hot to wear leather pants, I wear the Draggin' Jeans with foam "armor" in the knees. If it is too hot for a jacket and some sort of protective pants, then it is too hot to ride. Simple, take an air conditioned car.
Plus, those Bohn pants look gay.... If you walk around in those things, someone is going to follow you with a jar of vasoline!

But that's a big plus from Sprocks' viewpoint!!
Seriously though, I don't know how you guys cope with the real high temps. I find it bad enough during an English summer!!
Personally I go with Nevadas' advice, leather pants and a through-flow textile jacket, if my top half is cool, it keeps the rest cool-ish and there's always the wet 'T' shirt option, it really works!!

Any time Sprock my man! Happy to oblige
Serious about the wet 'T' shirt though, tried it earlier in the year and it worked a charm, soak it wring it out and wear it under a thoughflow/mesh jacket with propper armour, dries out in about 30-40 mins, but you could always carry a bottle of water for longer periods
I'm considering something like these for next season, just so I can get the leathers off without blowing compressed air down them

Reckon at some point in the not too distant future there'll be spray on kevlar armor
or something like that ........might be a very handy thing in many ways
