So you've gotten a good beating in yer mankini, eh?
I've decided to ride through the winter here. Maybe not in snow (but with the KLR....?)
I need to get a heated jacket, though. I did some cold riding last season, and was ok until I got wet.
So... with a heated jacket (grips?) and some good rain gear, I should be ok.
This year, I'm gonna try to be ready.
Maybe I'll start an off topic thread on winter weather gear?

I totally forgot. You southern hemi guys are 180 out of season with the Yanks and the Brits, right?
It just got cold today for the first time this fall. Cold and rainy a lot here in the humid south.
It is so humid that moss starts growing on the north side of your *******.

First I had to look up "POM". It's funny: "pom" is actually a diminutive or derivation of "pome" which is an acronym for Prisoner Of Mother England. As a slang term Aussies use for Brits.
Or perhaps this: http://www.snopes.com/language/acronyms/pommy.asp
Cool.
I think my 180 reference wasn't clear. What I was trying to confirm was:
Don't the northern and southern hemispheres have winter and summer at the opposite times? So Oz and RSA have winter while North America and UK have summer?
Hell, I guess I could just go to Wikipedia.
