I use to drink a lot more wine than I do now. In fact, I rarely drink wine now. When you work in the wine industry, the wineries give you wine until you can't take no more! I ended up trading my wines. I would trade for only the best. Since I worked at Opus One Winery, I had $150 a bottle wine to trade with. It is all snobbery.
We really don't have a lot of cops out here. The main area of Sparks and Reno has the cops, but once you get out a ways, they thin out real fast. I honestly think that the cops are "thinking" about people with guns out here. The cops "hunt" the main extentions and then only about 15 miles from the heart of the cities. Once-in-a-while, the cops go way out there and then they usually travel in pairs of cop cars, never one motor officer by himself. Most of the cops that I have met here are the nerds from high school. You know, the ones that got their lunch meals taken from them by the jocks or bullies. The only cop I know that is tuff is the deputy sheriff 4 houses down the road. Ex-special forces, but he was the one who said he keeps his distance when out in the boonies because of Nevadans with guns!
I honestly think that if a cop traveled by himself on a motorcycle to Gerlach, he might have someone or a few people take a pot shots at him. Kind of like the end of Easy Rider - good-bye cop.... I know that if I got stopped out near the Black Rock Desert by a single cop, he would be at a big disadvantage......
My wife had a flat the other month and a cop stopped just to tell her to move over more. She asked if he could radio for a tow truck and he said, "Mam, we don't provide that service anymore." No sh.t! She did not have a cell phone!! The cop left and another woman driver called a tow truck for my wife from her cell phone..... What the f.ck are the cops thinking?!!! Ticket writing, donut eating ***** f.ckers!
The cop left my 50"ish" year old wife broke down on the roadway for Charlie Manson to help her!!! I hate cops!!! Not just dislike them, I hate them!

They are a drag and can take up to an hour to get processed if they are busy...

BTW- I think we have to watch that this thread does not wander off on a total cop bashing spree guys ....
We all have our opinions and have stated them quite clearly, but flat out cop bashing is not condoned here as a rule...ooops

 

No Steve, that is the cop's departmental official stand. They are not there anymore to help standed motorists. I called about it. They figure everyone has a cell phone I guess.... They are there for traffic control and once out of traffic, it is the motorists problem. Pity, they had a chance to make things right, but that is America these days....

Note a lot of my "edits" have "can't spell or spelling or can't spell worth a sh.t" on the reason line. I couldn't spell Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious if my balllls were on the French guillotine with a "spell it right or removal will follow" statement placed before me! I guess I should have said, "Grizzly Bear Arms." Those would be some pumped up forearms!!! God, do I go off on tangents a lot!!!
P.S. If I don't know how to spell it or which form to use, I now use Google and start to type a similar form of the word and Google fixes it for me. I love this computer stuff. I took a college class in spelling, got an A and still can't spell Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious in a pinch... As the Queen of Hearts would say, "Off with his Balllsssss." Would she add a "Mate" to the end of that sentence if she were "common" peeps?
