That's really great Rob , my step-son didn't talk to me for 7 years , put such a strain on the family!!
He's back home now and we get on well
, just a phase he was going through , father issues ect.
Can't imagine not having contact with my own son , must have been really tough.
I know you don't need us to tell you to make the most of it

That the way Rob .... sounds like you have made a rather large breakthrough with the boy mate ...
Time can certainly slide by if you are not careful .

May I ask what cause the issue that has kept you guys apart ... and BTW yu don't have to answer this Rob ...om just curious ...

I didn't think the subject matter was that funny really mate ...
I have actually only seen my oldest daughter 2 or 3 times over 12 - 13 years as well...
My excuse/reason is that she is so much like her mum( that I sortta don't get on with) and she only lives about 50ft from her , so I have a lot of trouble dealing with either of them ...
so I was only asking a serious question that is close to my heart too yu mug ...
that as I said you need not answer ...

I wouldnt be to worried about it Steve. Its the usual reply from the man with the worlds biggest chip on his shoulder. You should be used to it by now. HE was the one who posted up about his rekindled relationship with his son yet has to be a smart a&se when someone asks a serious question. He must be a joy to live with.

That is such great news, happy for ya for sure. Family spats are always the worst. Haven't spoke to my sis and my bro-in-law in almost 2 yrs. Tried to get something going, but they seem to not want to give it a go...and neither does my wife. Of course, it was over some stupid words between us, and I cant see why we all just cant forget....no need to place blame...just forget. My opinion everyone has to accept blame.
But I know how you feel, I would feel the same if I could get us back on track.
