Well, my pics would look just like Bordo's. I mounted mine just like he did his, but I will try to get some tomorrow after I double check everything. I tell you, I dont normally look forward to cold mornings, but now I cant wait til a cold day! My fingers were the only thing i never could keep comfortable riding to work. It became very painful, even with thick gloves. I can tell, this should do the trick!

I should be able to give a rating in a few days. But heres what I can share with you about my experience. First, I think i have a problem with my hands. They are pretty much always cold in the winter, on the bike or not. When riding, I tried thick gloves in the winter and they just did not work for me. I even used inserts with them. My commute is 16 miles one way on the highway, and eventually the wind would cut through the glove and get to my fingers. Very painful! So this year I bought some of those big padded covers that go over the grips to block the wind. They are an off brand of those hippo hands you may have seen. Well, I tried them one cold morning recently, and although they helped some with blocking the wind, I noticed the cold from the handlebars themselves was radiating into my fingers.

i really believe heated grips is going to do the trick. I tested them on 75% while sitting on it, and they get really toasty. Bordo has probably already tried his out on the road and can give us his review. We are having very mild weather right now(71F in the day) so I cant fully test them on the road yet. But I cant wait!

I rate these grips very highly. Anything else imo are inferior if you are looking for decent heated grips. These things are impossible to hang onto over 75 percent even with thick winter gloves on. I have had to use them twice on the back end of our winter and I found them to be really good. Even during one ride when I was soaking wet I had some relief with warm hands. Plus they assisted in drying my gloves out as well. For what they cost ( US $60 ) instead of the 120 odd we get charged here they were WELL worth it imo. I would recommend them to anyone.

Yeah they made a point of saying that on the box. Also they turn off after they sense 11 volts if you leave them on or of someone turned them on. Seem to be pretty good that way.

I finally got a chance to try out the heated grips this morning riding to work. It was about 31 F. Ordinarily on a day like this I would be in excrutiating pain due to cold fingertips, but the grips did the trick!

My ride to work is 16 miles one way at all highway speeds, so usually the wind would allow the cold to eventually cut through even the thickest gloves. I wore a pair of thin leather gloves today, and all is well. I cant say I had this "warm and cozy" feeling like riding in a cage with a heater, but my hands are fine. (See, I can type on this keyboard! LOL)

Just an addition to this guys. I rode home on my Blackbird two weeks ago through Lithgow NSW. Anyone that lives in Sydney or has been to Lithgow in winter knows how cold it gets up there. Anyway I went between 75 percent power and 100 percent as it was 1 degree C ambient and the grips went well. I really appreciated them I can tell you !!!! The grips on both the BB and the F are the same. They got a little hot a couple of times and I just back them off to 75 percent and it was all good. Cheers.
