I did the seat on my F4i, it isn't hard at all, and i just used a regular staple gun. If you are going to use the glue then I would spray the foam, lay the fabric down smooth everything out make sure there are no wrinkles. Then pull the fabric tight and start stapling the underside. Work from the middle out to the back and then from the middle to the front. It took me maybe 20 minutes to do the rear seat on the F4i granted it is smaller but the hardest part was taking the old fabric off. Good luck!

I got it figured...for the stock F2 pan anyway...

The stock foam that is sitting under the cowl will be tapered down...almost straight down
but gradual...smoothly...to the rider part of the seat pan...until very thin.

Starting where the stock foam stops...Eva foam...cut and contoured to fit the pan,
leaving one inch from the edge of the pan around the whole circumference of the pan.

Glue this down...and trim where necessary...

Staple new covering...

I am turning my banana seat into...well in looks anyway...

I'll post the pics as I go...might be a week or three...

That cowl won't help I don't think.
