Default Locked engine/bearings

I locked up my engine...don't ask how!!!

Was wondering if anyone has ever gone inside the engine and fixed a locked engine? I have an 07 CBR RR 600. I am being told the key is replacing the bearings..any help?

why dont you get it inspected at the shop then go from there. unless your mechanically savy.
then you would have some insight whether to tear her down or shop for a new engine.
like i said before tho, unless your good with engines

It is not that simple. The rod bearings ride directly on the crank, and the crank will likely be scratched/scored. Same with the head, which starves of oil first. The cam bearings are actually part of the head (there are no bearing inserts)and there will most likely be lots of scoring which will require a new head and cams. You will most likely end up with a new engine. Sorry man.
