Not a problem in Kalifornia. They are legal here, one of the few things that are....

To start a new post, there is a link in the blue menu bar near the top of the page. Or, you should be able to back out 1 level and start it there.

Not to thread jack you, but I have this whistler cruisader. Was designed specifically for motorcycles. It's pretty much plug and play. Has a wireless led that mounts in the helmet and flashes when a radar band is detected. The nice thing is the display is small, and looks like a gauge, so unless the cop knows what he's looking at, the have no idea it's a radar detector. I got pulled over once for not using my turn signal, and I swear the cop looked right at it and didn't say anything. Best $275 I ever spent.

Mr 509, like I said in the original post, I went with best price/performance. I looked at these, but they were a lot higher in price and a lot lower in performance. NONE of the radar detector review sites that I looked at recommended them.

Radar Detectors are legal in Kalifornia and CHP dont care if you have one or not, heck, CHP will even give their own mother a ticket. I used to work with the OC Sheriffs and they drive their "county supplied" unmarked cars in the car pool lane just to **** the CHP off.

Moral of the story, they dont care if you have one or not. The specs of the 995 are very close to the V1, and, at 1/2 the price, that's what I'm talking about.
