Ha Ha yeah I know but I was thinking of doing it to my wheels and was wondering how it would handle the everyday abuse. Thanks though

Held up great!!! Changing color though. If your worry about rock and paint chips, I would use 1000 degree temp paint or even the b-b-q grill coating. They spray on thicker than regular paint.Pretty sure if you clear coat it, and take your time with prep,it should last a while.Gonna do a polishing how to when i finish with the wheels.
Safe riding to all.

Wicked easy painted rims
I've done this a couple times now and I'v been very happy. Plus I paint the rims outside, on the bike. Your color choices are somewhat limited, but not too bad.
Like I said, twice now I've painted rims with Brake Caliper Paint. The stuff in the can. Not the spray can. I just washed the wheels first. Used the crappy brush they supply. The paint goes on thick, flows great, covers great, dries hard as a rock. Never felt the need to clearcoat. In fact, I'm pretty sure that would muck it up.
Brake caliper paint colors are all great rim colors. Maybe you don't want to try it first on a $10,000 bike, but it's quick, easy, and I thought it worked good for me.
