Default How To: make ur own shorty levers

i dont know about you, but im not paying 150 bucks for shorty levers when you can make them out of your factory ones. ive done this on every bike ive owned and it works great. so here we go...
first- take off the lever...

forth- grind down and round off the end of the lever. you can use a bench vise, or a dremel. i used both...

fifth- finish up the sanding and rounding of the lever with sand paper. you can use fine paper to make the tip smooth.

Looks good.

A note to any UK viewers though, if you do this to your levers the bike will fail the MOT - you need a ball ended lever over here to stop you impaling pedestrians.
