Default Wire harness question?

Ok my electrical short on my 900RR came back. I thought we had fixed it, but it came back and left me stranded this morning. I was riding to work and stopped to get gas. Everything was fine, I stopped to fill up and then went to start the bike and nothign. It was dead as a doornail. We pulled the seat off and started looking at some of the electrical connectors. Some of them look bad. There is all kinds of corrosion, some of them look almost melted. So i'm sure one or more of them are my problem. I'm going to try and fix them to get the bike running again. Eventually i'll just get another harness and do it right. I only found one harness on ebay right now. It's for a 94. Anyone know if that will work on my 95? Is there any good place to buy a harness online? Anyone on here have one for sale? Thanks.

Sorry to hear that Neon. So did you get it started or have to get it towed? Here's a link -- found a '96 harness. Maybe between it and the '94 you'll find something, ha ha.

Is there a '94 900RR? I'm not up on my Honda geneology but can't seem to find one.

Thanks for the link, but unfortunatly it won't work. Honda made the CBR900RR starting in 93. From 93 to 95 they used a 893cc motor. In 96 they went up to a 919cc motor up untill the CBR929 came out. I need one from a 93 to 95. I found 2 on ebay and put bids on both of them, so we will see what happens. I'm hoping I can go home and rig up something to work till I can get a new harness. I just hate electrical troubleshooting with a passion. It sucks badly.

My roommate has a truck and trailer, so he came and picked it up and took it back to the house. I may mess with it in the morning before work. It just depends on the mood i'm in. I'm just torqued off right now and need to get in the right frame of mind before I start ripping the harness apart.

Cool -- learn something every day. Know what ya mean about waiting to work on it. Sometimes our toys can bring out an almost beastial response to throw **** across a room and pound things with a big hammer. Keep us informed of your progress -- remember pictures are good.

My CBR900 ( '93) had a bad stator which caused the plug to melt..I had to replace the stator ( $500) and the problem seemed to go away...Just one possibilty
