Default Wheel trim decal?

I've seen a lot of bikes with colored trim around the rim. Are all of these simple decals, or do some rims comes like that? I am looking to put a red trim around my rims.

I am looking at these, thoughts?
Amazon.com: FLU Design F-60600 Red Sport Bike Wheel Trim Decal: Automotive

Please give your suggestions on a better/more durable kind

I ordered similar trim. Mine was packed funky so I cut it when opening so be careful with packaging.

I installed it fine though. Check out the you tube videos for tips. I wash my bike at least once a week and they have stayed well and look great. Some people talk about painting or powder coating the lip which would be even better but not on my budget- haha

Wow that looks very nice, looks like there is blue in your tires as well??

I think I'm gonna go ahead an order them, thanks for the advice.

how much would it cost to powercoat or paint it do you think?

I have the red reflector trim on my rims. I like the little bit of red on black accent. Plus, offers a little more visibility at night with a light shining on it.

Yes I got the blue tire tread paint. It's unique and I get lots of mentions on it. Just search eBay for tire tread paint. Some mix and match to alternate colors too.
I personally wouldn't paint the rim (but that's just me) only because it would wear off. Not sure on the pricing for powder coating. I know its the most durable way to go and much cheaper than buying new parts in a color. I'm going to do the footpegs blue and down the road the swingarm. You have to look around your area (google POWDERCOATING) and you can call and get pricing.

Both wheels should run you anywhere from $120-200 to get powdercoated depending on where you go and on the color or more if you want to get them clear coated or a metallic color.

Im getting most of my stuff powdercoated gold with a clear coat and the price of that was more than double if i just went with a black.

online it says 17 radical or something like that...does that mean there 17 inches?

The one I have on mine is the Keiti reflective wheel stripes. You should be able to find it or similar brands at your local motorcyle accessories store. Fairly cheap...comes with an applicator.

Here's a link: Amazon.com: Keiti WS 800 Wheel Stripe - Reflective - Red WS800R: Automotive

As for your rim, you're right. It's 17 inches. The front is 120mm wide and the back is 180mm.
