what suspension to use for a fat guy
I'm 6'1" 230lbs (trying to get back down to 200 need to stop drinking) and this winter I'm going to replace all my suspension stuff for a fat guy to ride this bike. How do I tell what parts I will need? I went to denniskirk.com and they didn't list how much the person should weigh for the springs. I also tried to do just a general search online and can't find anything. Has anyone redone their full suspension being a bigger guy over 200? I just need to know what parts to get to do this.

I'm weighing in at 100kg ( sorry your'll have to do the conversion to lbs as it scares me too much. ( its about 220) Running stock suspension on my bike since new in 1999, no problems at all.
what bike do you have?
there are many places that'll help you set up your suspension...if you're just street cruising don't worry about it, but if you'll be doing hard canyon carving and/or track, then you should upgrade the springs to rates that match your weight.
places like www.ppsracing.com, traxxion dynamics, etc. can all help in getting your suspension dialed in.
