Is it normal for my temp gauge to go above the screw or do i Maybe need a new radiator? Here I had the bike sitting close to a half hour in one spot not moving nd the gauge went to ab 3/4 of the way, is this normal or do i need a new radiator? Keep in mind I just did coolant, also idk if it could be thermostat.
That position is correct for normal operations. It should have gone down after setting.
As to replacing your radiator, probably not, buy maybe. More often than not it can be the thermostat, sometimes the fan switch. The radiator might need to be flushed. It's rarely the radiator itself, unless it's leaking.
Not particularly, no. A lot of variables though. We are in the middle of summer here in the U.S. That can make it harder for a bike. Also, highway riding is much easier to keep things cool than city riding.
You should be able to visibly see the need move a little when the thermostat opens up.
The thermostat needle goes from all the way down to maybe three quarters of the way up, if it's not overheating I guess I'm not really worried about it then, thank you for your time and taking the time to respond to this thread, have a good weekend 💯
