Default what have i done?

So I installed a tethered kill switch on my 06 600rr. I cut the ignition wire just before it got to the starter/kill switch pod. I didn't realized it split and went to both the starter and the kill switch. I only meant to put the tethered kill switch btwn the kill switch and ignition wire. I thought it was working fine. I started it up for a few seconds a few times and it seemed like everything was working. Today I started it up to go for a ride and the FI sign came up on the dash. I also noticed it was running like crap. 30 seconds later it cut out. Now it won't start. It'll crank. and if i give it gas it'll run but as soon as i let go of the gas it will cut out again. So does anybody know what I could have broken/blown/fried ? I checked the FI fuse and the main fuse. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

how does the tethered kill switch circuit work? is it closed when the engine is running? if so, maybe it's just an open in the kill switch circuit. if the fi light is on, doesn't that mean the fuel system is enabled, like the regular kill switch is on? i'm not familiar with the tethered kill switch thing, but go back and check all your wiring to see if maybe the wiring just got broken somewhere. any pictures of your work?

i'm pretty sure that the tether kill switch is the same as the stock on/off rocker switch. I think the problem is that I put the tether kill switch between the starter switch and ignition. I tried to start the bike when the tether kill switch was in the off position. The starter went but the engine never caught. I think I might have blown something during this. I tried taking the tether kill switch out and rewired everything like it was before I screwed evertying up. It still won't start. It'll crank and it will catch but it will die real quick. When it did run it smelled/looked like it was running too rich. Maybe a relay somewhere that I blew?

actually, it was for the 1/4 mile track. if your bike does under 11 sec then you need a tethered kill switch. i don't think i could do under 11 sec on this bike, but other people have according to what i've read on the net. so i was putting it on just in case. but since it caused all this crap, forget it. i'm only going to put it back on like 2 hrs before i go to the track, and then take it off after i get back. not worth my trouble to have it on there 24/7.
