I recently charged the battery on my 2003 F4i after it had been sitting for a few months. The fuel pressure regulator went bad, and I replaced this last weekend. This morning I drove it to work, but after I parked I tried to start it again and the battery was dead. I can't remember when I last changed the battery in my bike if ever so it's probably just a bad battery.

Swapping the battery is easy, but I'm at work now with out any tools and my bike is parked on the street. Can someone remind me what tools I'd need to Chang the battery? From memory I'll need an Allen wrench to get the seat off, and a Phillips screw driver or socket set for the battery terminals. What actually holds the battery down?

 

The hold down should be a strap that requires no tools to remove.

 

1. mine is 10mm socket to remove seat cushion for access 2x bolts. ( You might need an extension to reach it, it helps) Not sure if yours may be allen.......
2. Philips screwdriver
3. new battery
