Weird sound after turning the key in
Hi! I just charged my bike after winter (cbr 600rr 2009) and after turning the ignition key you fan hear this sound constantly. Is that normal? Something need to be changed? (Please listen to video attached)
thanks in advance!

Hi welcome to the forum.
It is very difficult to tell from the video, but the fuel pump should prime when the key is switched on so it could be that not priming properly.
AFAIK that should be the only noise when switching the bike on...

I hate these types of videos. All they do is serve as a reminder that I'm growing old and deaf. I watch the video and say to myself, "I don't hear a thing." Then I turn up the volume really loud and people yell at me because of the volume. :-)
But seriously, @Al1040 is correct with what he states should be the only noise.

It depends on the sound, but if it's a constant humming or clicking, it could be the fuel pump priming or a relay sticking. After winter storage, some components might need a bit of cycling to work properly again. Try turning the key on and off a few times and see if it stops. If it continues, checking the fuel pump, relays, or battery connections might help. Let us know what you find!
