Weird electrical problem???

Yea, the main fuse is a 30A fuse on the solenoid/starter relay. Thats what was initially blowing every time the bike had power. Thats fixed now. So the light out is normal, but its still not cranking. This again leads me to believe my solenoid/relay is bad. I can still start it by using a button I rigged up a while ago that just jumps the solenoid.

Replaced the solenoid, didn't solve anything. Started troubleshooting finally, but a lot the instructions were gibberish to me. Had me check the wires for the ignition pulse generator, and I didn't get a reading. Couple other spots, it was having me check for continuity, and i honestly dont know what that means. Was I supposed to be getting some sort of reading?

A continuity test or check is a way of determining if the wiring between one point and another is intact. A good wire will show continuity, and a bad wire will be an open circuit or no continuity. Measuring continuity is done usually with a meter and Ohms is the setting. Depending on the meter you're using the setting might be 200 Ohms or 2000 Ohms. What you'd like to see is something less than 1 Ohm when making the measurement. Anything higher than that could mean poor connections.
Do you have any friends that are good with a meter ?
A video like this may help.
