Default Weight vs. supsension settings

Does anybody know the rider weight that the factory sets the suspensions up for? Seems like a lot of bikes are too soft. I weight about 195lbs. When i bought my 900 it was too soft. I have it set about as tight as it will go without changing springs front and back... The new R1 i bought seems to be a lot better from the factory. I'm guessing these suspensions are set for around a 165-175 lb. rider.

Default RE: Weight vs. supsension settings

I know on my 954 the stock forks are designed for a rider who weighs no more than 170 and only rides around town. Check out the new sponsor that hopped on board www.calsportbike.com they have chart under suspension where you can put in your weight and riding style and they set you up with appropriate strength springs from racetech which in my opinion is great stuff.
