Hi Guys and Girls,

I was wondering if any of you have had this conversion done, and if so, was it a direct bolt up, or were mods to the swingarm needed?

I imagine there would be a lot of work involved. While I personally love the single sided swing-arms, why do you want to switch it? They are a lot heavier than the conventional double sided arms.

 

I agree, if you are not switching to single sided swing arm, don't waste your time.

 

I don't believe it'll wokr on the 929. The 929 swingarm is mounted directly off the engine, the VFR is frame mounted. I know you could swap with minor work on the older 900rr, but I'm pretty sure it won't be worth the effort on the 929. Any reason you want a heavier, less rigid swingarm on the 929?

 

I was looking at an 01 VFR 800, and it is bolted to a carrier just like the 929, so that is what got me interested. I want to change it, because I like the look, and I like streetfighters. I really want to make my 929 unlike anyone elses.
