Default Vents

I am in the process of fabricating some maintenance covers.
My boss and i have them already made and we have bonded the two lowers to the front one piece fair as well.
I would like to put them on there permanently to further keep the two sides attached to the front one piece front fairing. Is there really that much they are used for? Is it that hard to get to my plugs and stuff if i have to pull off the whole front and side body of my bike to get to them?

And the reason for the post: I wanted to make these flush and try to give the bike a sleeker look by not adding vents in them. Are the vents really necessary in the maintenance covers for cooling the engine?

No, not for cooling, just the style. Matter of choice if you keep em or not.
