Carb air vents
Where do the air vents (2) between the carburettors go? They are the two pipes between carb 1&2 and carb 3&4, approx 10mm OD. I got a set of spare carbs and they dont have hoses on those pipes. Where are the hoses supposed to go? Can they just be plugged/capped off? My 87 'Cane is in shop so I cant look at her to tell....the manuals just show hoses but not where they go>>>
I dont' know if you found your answer yet, but i was told they don't connect to anything. i had mine sitting on the space between the air box and the battery compartment. Whether that's the best place to keep them, i don't know. I was at a bike shop and they told me they may be for fuel overflow in case that the carbs get too much fuel in them it will be disposed through here, but that should never happen unless some o-rings are broken or soemthing. Hopefully that helps.
1st gen bikes - were just left with T pointing down
2 nd & 3rd gen bikes had hoses attached and brought around back of the
airbox to sit infront of battery box under fuel feed line
They are just breathers for the top end of the carbs
