Default Using SeaFoam in a bikes tank?

I have never used SeaFoam before and i'm thinking about running it through my tank. I heard that you use 1 ounce of SeaFoam for every gallon of fuel. I have a 4.2 gallon tank so i'm just gonna use 4 ounces. my question is, do you have to run the tank dry before it stops smoking? What are the procedures for using this product in the gas tank?

1 oz of seafoam per gallon is correct. Your fuel system would have to be nasty for that concentration to cause much smoking, however. Just pour it in, and ride like normal. As far as I know there is no time frame you need to burn it through.
I would run the seafoam tank almost to empty though before refilling with fuel, as that will alter the concentration.

I use it beforeeach oil change in case any kind of 'stuff' makes its way into the oil. I don't worry about running it untill dry, just till the reserve comes on. I have not noticed any smoke or smell or anything not normal.

Mine smoked towards the end of the tank just add some more gas to mix it and it should stop.

Seafoam is one of those miracle serums. Works in everything. You should just dunk your engine in a tub full ofSeafoam and let it run.

Okay, that might be overkill but still...

If you only add 1oz per gallon you probably won't see any smoking, but rather notice a different smell from the tailpipe. If you add more it may smoke, but it will clean better.

For my bike I just add Lucas Fuel system treatment in the small bottle. One bottle is supposed to do up to 16 gallons, but I dump the whole thing in. Smells a little bit but no smoke. Has worked better for me than seafoam. (but Seafoam has worked better in my truck than the Lucas)
