Urgent: cbr 600 f4 clutch install help!
If you can wait and they are willing to replace the clutch, I say it can't hurt. You may need a new clutch cable but I won't know until you snap a photo, look up how to adjust your clutch cable there are a lot of how-to's and most bikes are similar in function.
Okay, I got some swet bargain tools that will come very handy.
I took a video that shows my clutch being already tightened but absolutely no pressure being put to the plates.
I have no idea how to put videos here??
Tomorrow I;m going to open the clutch cover, take the plates and springs out, send them back and put back the cover on without adding new gasket until I get the RIGHT parts sent.
Or shall I put back the old plates? which 1 is LITERALLY BROKEN haha.

U/l them to a free host site, such as youtube, and then copy and paste the link on here.
Im not a clutch pro but i had a clutch issue on my sv1000s and it ended up being that i didnt torque the screws down enough and it let the first plate shift off the tooth pattern and float above the bascket, thus not allowing the clutch to go engage the motor. If u can take out ur oil fill plug and see if u can see the basket, if u can, check to see if the top plate floated up and isnt line up with the teeth
Hello guys,
I just received the new plates.. this time 7 plates which is correct and 6 springs haha geuss I just use 5 of them..
But please take a look at these pics..
The old plates are out of order in box so can't compare but these ones are all the same i think? so just place them? but people tell the outer disks is smaller in size? but does this also count for this after market ebc kevlar race clutch?

thank you very much in advance!
I will thightened them down the next time thanks for the advice! sephrin

I forgot to mention.. just like many bikes the thinner first frictionplates are thinner because inside of there is this little thin plates that goes in which makes it even thin with the other friction plates.. but my cbr 600 f4(1999model!) doesn't have this.. is this the reason all the friction plates are the same size?
Are you referring to a diaphragm spring? The F4 does not use one so that might be your confusion, maybe. I only have first hand experience with OEM clutch-packs, but I know that the first and last friction plates are different from the rest. maybe someone else with the EBC clutch-packs can give you more feedback, or maybe try and call EBC, most manufactures will have some form of tech support.
Thanks, that is a good idea.
About yesterday I installed the plates but i think its called lifter pin that goes between the springs has a bit play in it just like in the videos but there is no pressure on it when i pull on it the plates doesnt go into "neutral"?? This was the reason i didnt had pressure on the clutch lever i think
