Undertail Gap
I know i've seen this on a thread before, but i can't find the answer. I just got an underail off ebay from extremediscount cycles, so far its sucked ***. One of the brake lights wasn't secured properly and i had to re-epoxy it in. On top of that, no instructions, so i've been using the helpfull threads here to figure it out. After 6 hours of cutting and wiring and finally securing, i am stuck with a fiberglass undertail that doesn't fit right. It took two people ot help me stretch out the tail and compress the back fairing in order to line up the predrilled holes. Now i have gaps along the whole thing. Any suggestions on how to fix it? i've already tried to cram thick foam in the back, but it takes a little bit of strenght to hold it down. I'm just pissed right now, i'm afraid to ride in the rain in case water and mud get flung inside.

I added screws on each side. Right around where the tail lights are. It helped some, but as you can see there is still a small gap. After that you can add foam to reduce the gap even more. Good luck!
Looks like we got the same undertail, did you get it from the same place? I don't have much room on the right side to put a screw in, it will be on the edge of the undertail and i don't know if that will cause the fiberglass to crack or not. I just dont want to break what i've put so many hours into making.
I'd like to send it back, but then i'd be without a ride for days. plus the ammount of time i spent on this thing pisses me off too much to start over with new one. But yeah, definitly leaving negative feedback as soon as he gives me the discount he promised.
Seriously though, don't buy from Xtremediscountcycles on ebay.
