Default turn signal/brake switch problem

the f4i section proved to be of no help with this so ill just copy and paste my post from yesterday here and hopefully someone can be of some assistance cuz i still cant figure this out....

So i rode the bike this morning and everything was fine. I came home did whatever all afternoon then got back on the bike at 530 to ride to work. I quickly realize when i put on my turn signals the light on the dash isnt blinking. So i get gas and keep goin to work and notice that sometimes theyll come on and then shut off again intermittently cuz i was still trying to put them on for every turn out of habit and just in case they would work. I figured it was just a loose wire or connection that i would take care of tomorrow and thatd be the end of it.

However, on the way back from work it was doing the same thing and i went to honk at my friend and the horn didnt work either so now im thinking its just the whole left control (the highbeams work fine though). Then as i pull in my driveway im messing around with the wires and trying to see if its just loose and theyre still not working. I pull in my front brake and as soon as i do my blinker comes on. I let it out, it shuts off. So after 30 seconds of being amused by that i realize the turn signals only come on when the microswitch for the front brake is being pressed.

What in the hell would cause the brake switch to complete the circuit for the turn signals and horn besides them being hooked up to that, which they arent. The only thing electrical ive done to the bike recently is install my hid's but that was 2 days ago and this just started tonight and i didnt touch any of that stuff so i dont know how likely they are to be related.

no clue but it sounds like some thing is shorted.

insulation could have melted or gotten kicked.

I believe the horn, brake light and blinkers are all on the same fuse. Thats the first thing I would check. its possible the fuse is corroded and the extra power the brakes require are making the connection. It could also be the fuse on its way out, only working when a larger power demand is used. So check the fuse and all of the wires including the grounds leading to it. They all may share a common ground and for some reason the brake is making the connection for them.

Other than that, it does sound as if something may have come loose somewhere.
