1994 CBR 900 RR-has anyone ever replaced the oil seal on the transmission (behind the front sprocket) without splitting the cases? If not, can I do this without removing the engine/tranny? Please help. The winter is coming quickly.......This is the first time the CBR has let me down and I'm getting beat up on by all of the 'busa riders in the area. Thanks in advance.

I've not torn down a 900RR, but on some other bike engines the tranny seal has a shoulder to keep it from moving in/out hence the cases had to be split on those other motors. The bearing behind there is pressure fed oil, so the seal can have some pressure behind it making the shoulder neccessary.
I would order the seal you need (you'll have to anyway), and see what it looks like.
good luck
