so i am looking at a bike for sale. the guy says that it drops into neutral at about 8000 rpms but only in 2nd gear. does anyone know what the problem is or how much it might cost to fix. or if there is anyway i could fix it myself? thanks

 

most likely a bent shifter fork from banging on the shifter. If you have a shop fix it then count on $$$. Not sure of mechanical ability but tearing into a transmission is fairly involved and not for the average Joe.
