Default Trailer blueprints

I'm looking into building my own motorcycle trailer, does anybody know of some free trailer plans/blueprints somewhere on the net?? Did a google search but everone whants $20 for plans. I will probably modify/adjust them to my needs. I just want a little bit of a guide.

Check out the 'teardrop' trailer forums. Those guys can do about anything w/a trailer...from the inexpensive HF kit trailers to complete fab-ups. Good luck.

Sprock - that's an awesome design. looks like you might even be able to load/unload whil the hitch is still attached to the vehicle.

Wouldn't take much to modify one of the Harbor Freight trailers to operate like that.

I really like that design. Do you remember/know what site that was?

AJ is one smart cookie .....LOL ......pic properites ........nothing like it

Yeah it's a pretty neat design - think I'd mod it further though.

get rid of the cables and use a long bolt and nut with a screw type method to
raise and lower the deck, dead center of the "A" frame up to the center of the front
top upper frame !

I would modify the design too, I dont like the cable either.

I have some sweet software (Autodesk Inv), so I'm going to design a whole trailer on it. Take bits and piece from trailers I've seen/ideas and put it all together into a trailer thats just right for me. Keeps from wasting/buying uneeded material...

I want to be able to load my bike without a ramp and do it by myself.
I'm not sure if I want it enclosed or not....I'm thinking on that one still. (if I do I would make it removable so I could also use it as a utility trailer.)
Design it so its fairly light, Make sure not to overbuild it. Hopefully I can figure out the Stress Analysis feature in the software.

I'm taking note of your idea, that would probably work pretty good.

Has anyone ever built there own trailer?? pics?
