Tire recommendation
I got a 1992 Honda CBR 600 F2. Im looking to get new tires. The tire guy I talked to said I could step up to a 170/60-17 in the rear. Is that right? Whats websites that have had good prices on tires? Suggestions anyone? Also, whats a good brand for just casual riding, no track, long enough life? Thanks.

Then does anyone have a recommendation of a site to get a good deal? The 170 that were offered was 300 installed and balanced. Any better places? How much of a difference we talking? Im not a racer or anything... just a around town person.
i run continental road attack tires on my 929 and i will never run anything else again, they have great wear life and awesome grip and control under all riding conditions, i used to run dunlops and i even tried michelins but neither tires would give me good response or feel, and my back tire would wash out in the corners when downshifting or powering out of the corner, not to mention their life span sucks, i also noticed that my bike turns in alot smoother/eaiser with the continental tires, and their the best tire i have ever run in the rain. i paid $150.00 dollars installed recently for my back tire, but i took the rim off and brought it in instead of having them take it off which im sure saved me a decent amount of money. the front tire was done about 8 months ago i dont remember how much but it was cheaper.
Im looking into, I know Im gonna kill the spelling but bare with me, Shinkos and they are cheaper. I don't do hard riding. Casual around town and stuff. Am I having a safe bet then? I don't plan on keeping the bike long, I wanna step up to a big bike.
Regarding the tire measures, I really don´t recommend that. Your bike will feel sluggish and harder to take around corners.
If you´re searching for cheaper tyres I can tell you that I´m running Maxxis Supermaxx Sport tyres right now and I´m really suprised by them, plenty of street grip ( and I´m a die hard Pilot Power fan)
