No BAS in F4 like F4i (started in 2001 in fuel injected models). Although the wiring harnesses are similar, the F4 doesn't have the BAS like the '01 & up. It is worth noting that the location of the BAS in the F4i harness is adjacent to the L front turn signal & turn signal relay (same location as F4 just has the additional wiring for the BAS). Also worth noting, you can use an F4i harness but that relay location would go unused on your F4.

BAS (Bank Angle Sensor) = tip over sensor. Apparently your model year doesn't have one.

It is but it isn't. ;-) 2000 was the last year of carbs. In 2001 the F4i became fuel injected. The same basic wiring harness from the F4 was used but additions (like the BAS) were added to accommodate for the additional functions of fuel injection (& also dif front lighting system, dif gauges, etc).

That would not be a good idea. ;-)

well it was just a thought, since i seen a video of a guy starting his f4i after he pulled the sensor, which to me looked like it was just in front of your left foot, and for the f4 i looked at tip over sensors and i seen that they were up front just above the headlight... so i just thought i would ask, i didnt no if it was in the harness or in the engine, and being that my bike was fully naked i dont think i have one unless i was to look at the wire harness
