Ticking and strong gas smell

No, It threw one after I changed the spark plugs but it was because I forgot to plug the IAT sensor back in.
I checked the FPR (as mentioned) took the vacuum line off, and when the fuel pump primed gas literally came pouring out of the regulator. I'm assuming that means the diaphragm is bad?
