Throttle Not Returning To Idle On Its Own

Hey, I have a 1987 CBR 600F and im having a small issue with my throttle
My bike idles at around 1200-1500.
However when it warms up and i come to a stop in any gear it will come back down to around 2000-2300 rpms and I have to slightly twist the throttle the opposite(as in towards the brake lever) to get it all the way down to 1300 again and then I can let go and it will idle smoothly.
This isnt a huge problem but it gets kind of annoying at times.
I have tried loosening the cable but it didnt really help.

Loosen the clamp that your throttle attaches too. Sometimes, the rubber from the throttle grip will get pushed into the housing and create drag. Loose it up and pull it away from the grip, then retighten. Thats the first thing I would check anyway.
Beyond that, it could be a weak throttle return spring on your rack.

I know mine stuck and didn't move at all when the clip on was bent, any way it could have been slightly bent so that it sticks with less pressure on it?
If not that, try lubricating the plastic throttle tube that is on the clip on itself.
and justasquid also has a good idea.
Good luck!
