Default throttle gets stuck

Every once and a while at WOT, my throttle gets stuck. I have to hit the kill switch and twist it all the way a couple of times to free it, and then start the bike agian. I was thinking I need to lube the cable, but I heard it could be something else. thanks

If it has been awhile - or never - since you'ne lubed the cables then you're correct. It sounds like you need to inspect the cables to make sure you've developed a kink that's causing them to bind. Replace if needed.

Cheers

I lubed the hell out of both throttle cables at the throttle assembly on the handle bars. Has only done it once since then...I guess I will see where this gets me. Maybe the lube just need time to soak all the way to the bottom of the cables...wishfull thinking. Thanks for your help. If any more ideas let me know please.

you gotta take them out and string them up for it to go all the way down...otherwise, it should take a few years before the stuff reaches all the way down...if ever...LOL...

actually they sell a device that clamps around one end of the cable so you can use a aerosol type lube and inject it into the cable under pressure....so you only have to take off one end
