Has anyone found a solution for the buzzing coming from the 3rd eye on the 07-09CBR600RR? By honda dealer said there will be a recall but HONDA cant figure out how to fix it...they've had the bikes apart to try to fix and cant either....

We're more clever and I'm lazy to try new things....has anyone fixed this?

It buzzes from 4-7k RPM

 

Ok, I have a few questions. First, whats the third eye? Does it sound anything like the F4i cct buzz?

 

It's the little running light between the headlights on the RR. I'm betting it sounds nothing like the CCT.

 

ya third eye is LED light beween headlights.....
and it buzzes/rattles when driving . when i push up on the windscreen it stops so it's just loose but noone who's tried to fix it can get it to stop.

 

I cant get mine to stop either.. I was going to fix it the other day and ruined a couple windscreen screws but once I get some new ones I am going to try.. I get sick of pushing up on the windscreen because thatll get it to stop for a little. Im going to try and wedge something in there I guess. I really am not sure what Im going to do yet.

 

i tried some double sided tape..didnt work. made a hot stick mess.

im thinking about taking off the windscreen and siliconing it with clear stuff.

i actually called HOnda and they said a recall is in the works, hopefully soon.

I'll let you know how this silicone works out.
