not an experienced mechanic but i did graduate from MMI. I had the time of my life at school. I had a 99% attendance and graded with a 3.8 gpa. got into the shop and it just ruined my passion for bikes. figured out that bikes are best for me when i keep it to where i enjoy them. bikes are what take me away from daily bull**** so i didnt want them to become my daily bull****. but it might be different for you.

I'm getting into it professionally right now. if you feel like each bike is a new adventure, and something fun to challenge you, it is the path to be on.
But also, you have to consider, are you getting into it on the repair side, or are you wanting to do custom work for people? Personally, I tinker with both, and find it exceedingly rewarding to do so because, well I dont know honestly.
you wont get rich doing it, so dont think you're going to be making big money doing bike repairs unless you've got your own shop that is paid for and all you gotta cover is utilities.
