Default street-fighter headlight power problem

I recently bought a '93 600 F2 that had some body damage to rebuild as a street-fighter. All the electronics and engine works great, only body damage. Last October I wired up after market dual headlights. Recently the lights will no longer turn on. The first thing I checked was the fuse, but it's in good working order. I have un-wired them and tested the lights and they work fine when connected to the battery. When I turn the key all other lights work (turn signal, meter, and break lights). If I have the high beam switch on, the high beam indicator comes on, but dim. If I start the engine, the high beam indicator brightens to its full brightness. If I touch the (+) and (-) headlight wires together I get no sparks. I think there is not enough power in the headlight wires, but I can't figure out what the source of the problem is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
