yea i agree...for one thing getting the suspension set up right instead of getting a bling bling damper to cover up suspension issues.
also, you pretty much get what you pay for with the dampers...scotts/ohlins GPR bling bling but good...go with some no namer...you'll get a no namer headshake or something.

for sure the most serious improvements you can make are in suspension and braking... aside from the out of the gate power commander & pipe. start by having it adjusted to your height and weight... then get some kind of fork kit. Then chase your braking with steel braided lines.. go after power... once all those things are accomplished and you are using them... go get your damper... you'll just look retarded to someone who knows anything with a stock bike and a $400 damper.

Thanks guys, all great advice . . . . I already have my brake lines steel-braided, and my suspension is adjusted for me too, but i'm not sure on my brakes so i'll look into that before I spring for a dampner. Also,
I heard since I plan to go to the track it's highly recommened to have a dampner cause of the high speeds, to much emphasis? Are they pulling my chain? hehe

yo...
get this...some bikes are more prone to headshakes but the F4i is really good considering your suspension and alignment is all good.
if you really want a damper, spring for a good used one. i know someone getting rid of his ohlins for a good deal.

mospeada is a good dude, he's my boy. ask him about his ohlins...
he really takes care of his schiznit.

Nobody says you have to have one, but I can say all who have them wouldn't want to take it off for any reason... know what I mean.

The first time you land a wheelie a little stoopid and the damper gobbles it up and puts you straight you'll never ride without one again.

Riding with a buddy of mine and he had a friend that just got a new gsxr 600 with a damper(had no idea what it was even for or how to adjust it). Dumbass fell over in my drive way!

They've yet to devise any apparatus that keeps people from being a dumb ***. Although I'm sure someone somewhere is trying....
