Default Steering Stabalizer . . .

Hello, what are your thoughts on steering stabalizers? I heard they make a lot of difference at high speeds, and where could I find one at a good price?

Thanks

scott's it the most adjustable one available for the f4i. they are more known as dampers but are called stablizers often too. The good thing is you can buy the mounting hardware for many different bikes so if its too expensive for you you might be able to half it with a friend. haha... I wouldn't, but you might have better friends than I do.

Its not a must, it depends how you ride. They limit the amount the bars can turn during high speed and under hard acceleration thus reducing the likely hood of the bars shaking under hard acceleration and in the event of a rear slide limit the amount of energy that can cause steering shake and help prevent Highsides.

what he said, but they do not limit the amount your wheel can turn you can still turn it...they limit the 'rate' at which it can turn...thus, keeping the front wheel straight

What would be a cheaper alternative?
I am looking into puchasing a used one off of a TL1000? and modifying some brackets to make it fit. Do you guys have suggestion as to which bike to chose from?
Something to go into the how-to page.

doesn't matter which bike you choose, as long as the stabilizer is good and you can fabricate good mount brackets then it's all good.

toby makes a cheaper one for an f4i with a classic design like the ones that come stock on gixxers. I wouldn't recommend hacking it, but nothing says it can't be done
