Default steady blinkers frnt/bk & on dash...?

my question is what do i do to make it normal again.

i installed a fender eliminator kit, and new flush mount turn signals..

i assume i've fouled up the wiring to make this happen... it...
make the front and back turn signals on and "steady"
the blinkers still work.
and the signal lights are on steady on the dash as well.

where to start and what to look for?

or should i care.. haha

let me know

My guess is you didn't look at a wiring diagram before modifying the wiring. Most flushmounts aren't designed to be constantly running parking/running lights, just blinkers, which is why there's only 2 wires on em, but 3 wires on the stock blinker. (this should have raised a concern, eh?)

Crystal ball says you've tied together the 2 positive feed wires at the new flushmounts Orange and Orange/white together, and light blue/light blue/white on the other.

I've see so many of these threads now that I don't even have to check a wiring schematic, or know what bike you ride to know these color codes, LOL.

edit: sorry, didn't include a resolution. Clip the wiring up front for the leads with the white stripe. Now everything will work as blinkers only. This will remove the stock running light ability though. there's a way to fix it, if you're really interested.

i will try it out, thanks guys.

i just spliced the two positives together and it seemed to work so i went with that.

does that account for the rear lights as well?
if i recall they only had two wires on the stock and aftermarket wiring..

Yes - the front and rear blinkers run off the solid orange and blue wires, and front and rear circuits are tied together. The stock real lights are only blinkers, so they are only 2 wires.

The park/running lights for the front are the wires with the white stripes. They are on whenever the blinkers aren't turned on, so by tying them to the solid wires, you've sent constant power to the blinker circuit, which is why the dash indicators are on solid too.

clipping the striped wire (cover up the cut end) will allow the blinker circuit to function normally.

If you want to regain the stock front park/run light function without affecting the rears, or the blinker function, follow this thread:
