Starting
When you start the bike when it is cool outside is it normal for you to prime the engine before it runs? Is this a bad problem?
the bike is a 1997 CBR f3 600
The previous owner told me it helps to open the throttle a bit when pushing the starter. Is this standard procedure? Or should it start even without priming? There is a choke for Cold cold days but i am just talking about cool temperatures.
I know it is a carb so opening the throttle a bit to help makes sense but I just want to make sure with you guys
Catches on quick and no problems running. sounds like a beast.
thank you so much

All bikes, even those of the same model have their own quirks we regard to starting. With my F3, I just use the choke & dab the starter, If I 'prime' the throttle, she no likkie & often needs a 2nd attempt to fire her up.
However, if the previous owner says that's what she needs to start, then he should know.
