Default Sprocket cutting into swing arm after getting my tire on.

After I got my rear tire installed I rode a few miles then my back tire locked up I got off to see what was wrong and the outer part of the sprocket is cutting into my swing arm on the chain side.
Any suggestions?

Did a shop put the tire on?

Call them and arrange to get it back to them. Something ain't right.

If you put it on, or know how to, take it back apart.

It was a shop that put installed the tire. I have an appointment arranged with them to get it looked at. Just a little curious about what could have caused it. I have pictures but I can't upload them on here for some reason

Hi Jon, probably when they re-installed the wheel they never adjusted the wheel for alignment ,and then never tightened the axle ,causing the chain to pull the wheel sideway, at least that's my view on it

You shouldn't need an appointment. They should pick it up and fix it immediately. It's a screw up on their part, most likely.

Is it even possible to put a tire on crooked anymore? Until now I didn't think it possible?
But its a classic..
Just reseat your tire and be sure its square this time, and if chewed up swingarm and sprocket have them replace them.
the wheel misaligned causes the wheel to track and pulls into the swingarm. plus with the axle cocked it didn't properly tighten and could be loose enough to shift or even come undone after the swingarm gives it some flex.
good you caught it in time, as you didn't say tore up just hitting.
