Default speedometer sensing F4i?

Hi!

I am in the progress of fitting the speedometer of a CBR F4i to my project motorcycle (Honda VFR400RR NC30) and now I need to know how many teeth does the gear wheel have the speedometer sensor is sensing?

best regards!

Peter (from sunny Austria)

I think it's 1 less than the stock, but I could be wrong, this is just an un-educated guess, should this be in the manual? I can check it for you if it's in there. Otherwise you might have to ask a Honda Tech

Thanks for your answer!
The F4i senses its speed at a gear wheel on the counter shaft (AFAIK). I had a look at the parts fiche and there are 6 gear wheels and the sprocket on the counter shaft. Now I need to know at which of this 6 gears the speedo sensor aims!
I don't think the information is in the manual but you could go out and disassemble your motorcycle (just kidding).

But what do you mean by "1 less than the stock"??

best regards
