We have whats called a wet clutch. The motor oil on your bike flows right into the clutch basket, and has a nice big opening below it that goes right into the oil pan. Thats why its very important to use the proper oil in the bike as well, some oils like car oil has additives that can actually ruin your clutch.
wow, good to know. I will be doing my first oil change this weekend. Does this "wet clutch" apply to the 98 CBR F3's also?

so i took my the f4i into the shop, and they said since they caught my clutch slipping issue early, i'll only have to replace the clutch fibers or and not the complete clutch. $171 for parts and labor, not bad imo

yeah, i really not even that mad. the bike has 19k miles on it (i put 5k on it since i had it) and this is the only problem ive had with it, and its from be being dumb.

so i learned how to burn out, and it cost me $170 that i would have to dish out soon anyway. i can live with that

and i burned out with my buddy on his gsxr 750, and he burned all into his clutch. he cant get the bike past 30mph. but his bike has about 30k+ on it.
