Default slow cranking after the bike been running

I have a 2003 600rr and after the bike been running it cranks slow for restarts. I thougt it was the battery so I replaced it, while it did make a difference after a few restarts it still starts slow, but when the bike has been sitting for a while it cranks up with full power. What could be the cause of this? thanks any ideas would be appreciated.

Check your regulator/rectifier - I think it may be on the way out.............
Start the bike and put a voltmeter across the battery - anything less than 13.5V isn't good enough................
