Saying that there is NO valve on the 600, only on the 1000 ( so I've heard )... and it was 215-220 degrees while on the highway doing 65 mph, by the time I shut it down it was into 225 or better I'm sure. Sitting at lights in the heat I've hit 220 and the fan kicks-on, but doing 65 on the highway andbeing that hot is not normal. Will probably put the stock pipe back on and trade it for something bigger.... See what the 08's look like.

I think I know what your problem is.. You don't know what your doing. Your bike runs like crap now because you put a slip-on it without re-maping the computer, That's what A POWER COMMANDER is for. With a slip-on, There's less back pressure causing a change in the air/fuel ratio ( that's why you smell fuel ). A PC should fix your problems but it will still be a 600. Apples and Oranges, You can't seriously be comparing 1999 900 to A 2006 600. If you want something like your 900, maybe you should get a 1000 or a 954. Maybe you should take a 1999 600 F4 for a ride and then compare it to the 06RR, Now that would be A good comparison. Sorry for being honest.

I asked about a Power Commander and was told dont waste my money. A Service Manager from another local dealer and Erion Tech bothtold me theres nothing a Slip-On would do to the bike performance wise, so how can the computer recognize it? And yes, my 99 CBR900 was the fastest bike I've ever owned and 100% more fun to work on and ride than this rice burning 06.
Thanks for being honest, I dont like things sugar coated.
